Winter Soltice

Here it is the first day of winter and the longest day of the year once again. Wouldn't you know that it would be a rainy old day. There is one consolation the temperature is in the upper 50's, not bad for Tennessee on December 21st.

Sunshine

Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day and today is going to be just as wonderful. Our back porch heats up to about 80 degrees when we have sun and it is great to be able to set out in the sunlight.

The girls ( sassy and misty ) enjoy the backyard also so we can keep an eye on them in comfort these cool days.

Wow

It's a beautiful cold morning. The main thing is that the sun is shining. It always lifts my spirits to see the sun. It also warms my backporch up to tropical temperatures and I sit out there quite a bit until the sun retreats in the evening.

Snow

The rains have finally ended and now we have Snow. It looks like old man winter is upon us.

December Rains

It has been raining for almost 24 hours and it looks like 24 more to go before it stops.

Turning cold also. There is supposed to be a 20 degree temperature drop as this front goes by. Will be in the 40's shortly.

Another day in the Dimple of the Universe

Cloudy, rainy old day but everything is good. Had lunch with Sarah's sister and brother-in-law at Ryan's. Sure was good.
